Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell to Drury on Tuesday evening. They lost game one 5-0 and game two 4-1.
The Warriors posted three hits in the game one loss. Five individuals walked during the game and Kali Berrigan posted a stolen base. Josie Edwards started game one and pitched 3.1 innings while striking out two batters and allowing three hits. Lucy Wolff came in to pitch in relief
Southern Wesleyan posted six hits during the game two loss. Riley Herdliska led the team with two hits in the game. Makaila Irby had the lone RBI for the Warriors to bring in Maddie Ward. Kassidy Hamrick laid down a sacrifice bunt, and Irby's sacrifice fly brought Ward in to score. Hunter Hoskins pitched the complete game for the Warriors and had two strikeouts.

How It Happened
The Panthers kicked off game one with a Hecker's first career home run to put them up 1-0. They lengthened their lead to 3-0 in the fourth and then went on to win the game 5-0.
Drury scored first in the top of the first to take a 2-0 lead over Southern Wesleyan. They pushed their lead to 4-0 with runs in the fifth and seventh inning.
Southern Wesleyan countered in the bottom of the seventh. Maddie Ward led off with a walk and then advanced to second on a passed ball. Riley Herdliska pushed Ward to third on a single to right field. With runners at the corners, Makaila Irby hit a sacrifice fly to center field to bring Ward in to score. However, the Warriors were unable to take the lead as the Panthers
Southern Wesleyan will open up Conference Carolinas action on March 16 as they take on the King Tornado. They will remain at home on March 17 as they continue Conference Carolinas action against the Lees-McRae Bobcats.
