NCCAA Awards Reininga Game Plan 4 LIFE Character Award

NCCAA Awards Reininga Game Plan 4 LIFE Character Award

Greenville, SC -  The NCCAA inducted two new members into the Hall of Fame at the Hall of Fame Banquet during the Annual Convention on May 31. Also honored were recipients of the Game Plan 4 LIFE Character Award, Heart of Courage Award, Meritorious Service Award, Presidential Award, and Sports Ministries Award. Among the winners, Head Women's Volleyball Coach and Associate Athletics Director Julia Reininga was nominated as the 2017-18 female athletics staff recipient of the Game Plan 4 LIFE Character Award.  The award was given to her in recognition of her career-long demonstration of sportsmanship both on and off of the volleyball court.

Julia Reininga has been a great impact in the Southern Wesleyan community on and off of the volleyball court since joining the Warrior team in 2012.  While being the associate athletics director, head volleyball coach and the student-athlete advisory committee liaison, she has learned to balance her regular duties while also being a pivotal asset to the Warriors during their transition from NAIA to the NCAA.  When she is not in the office, Reininga can be found on the volleyball court with her team, welcoming everyone who enters Historic Tysinger Gymnasium.  Coach Reininga continues to have a large impact on the lives of both student-athletes and coaches alike.
