Claire Keffer joined the Southern Wesleyan Athletics team as the Athletic Business Coordinator in the spring of 2019. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern Wesleyan University in 2018. While attending SWU, she was a member of the women’s golf team for four years. After graduating, Claire took a job as an office administrator at BridgeWorks Strategic Employer Service until becoming the Athletic Business Coordinator. In the fall of 2019, Keffer was named the Assistant Golf Coach.
Transferring from Limestone College after her freshman season, Keffer red shirted her sophomore season. However, the red-shirt season did not slow her down as she was named to All-Conference Third Team during her junior and senior season, and then All-Conference Second Team during her final season with the Warriors. She impressed in the classroom as well as she earned the Conference Carolinas Spring Scholar Athlete of the Year Award for Women's Golf during both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. In the 2017-18 season, she was named an All-American Scholar for the WGCA. Keffer also set several records for the Warriors Women's Golf program. In the 2017-18 she set a new school record as she became the first Women's Golfer to finish in first place as an individual during the Cherokee Valley Women's Invitational. She shot a 77 and 76 for a total round score of 153. Keffer continued to impress in her final season of eligibility as she shot a hole in one on the 16th hole in the Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship. She finished the championship in ninth place with a total three round score of 236 to earn a slot on the All-Tournament Team.
