Florence, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell to Lenoir-Rhyne in a 4-0 final Saturday morning.
Southern Wesleyan had six strikeouts in the loss to Lenoir-Rhyne. Vinny Adams and Daniel Singleton led the team with two strikeouts each. Vinny Adams started the game for the Warriors and went 4.1 innings while allowing six hits and four runs. Kyle Cook-McCrary, Tyler Rio and Daniel Singleton came in to pitch in relief.

"We pitched much better today, just couldn't get the bats going. It was good for us to see three different opponents this weekend, gives us much more to work off of going forward. I really like where this team is and how we will move and process as the season develops."
How It Happened
Vinny Adams started on the mound for the Warriors and kicked off the game with two fly outs and ground out to allow the Warriors to come up to the plate. The Warriors were unable to come up at the plate in the first. Lenoir-Rhyne continued to fight as back-to-back doubles brought home a run and gave them a 1-0 lead over Southern Wesleyan. A two run home run and a triple plated three more for Lenoir Rhyne. Lenoir-Rhyne won the game 4-0.
Southern Wesleyan will open up at Dr. C. Keith Connor Field on February 7 at 4 p.m. as they take on the Mars Hill Lion. The Warriors will then travel to Trinity Baptist on February 9-10.
