Greenville, SC – The NCCAA announced the 2018 Baseball All-South Region Team with two Warriors being represented on the team. Both Quinton Bent and Mike Batten were named to the All-South Region team.
In his junior season with the Warriors, Quinton Bent had his best season of his career. The Canada native had 62 hits on the season and drove in 45 runs. His hits included career highs 15 doubles and 10 home runs. Bent went on to post a .325 batting average and .560 slugging percentage. He also had three stolen bases and 16 walks.
Mike Batten finished the 2018 season with a 4.50 ERA over 12 appearances. Batten had 10 starts and pitched two complete games. He had a career high 75 strikeouts. The junior from Florida went on to set a new school record, leading pitchers with 200 career strikeouts. His season best game came against the Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles where he pitched a complete game and struck out 16 batters.
