"TJ McEvilly pitched really well today in the final game of the series and Daniel Singleton came in with solid relief.  It was good to see those two come in and give us a great effort and get results.  We had some key hits down the stretch as well.  We need to keep getting better and play our game each day."

How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan put the first runs of the game on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning.  Sean Sutay reached first on an error and then stole second base.  Timo Schau followed with a walk to put two runners on with one out.  Quinton Bent put down a single in left field to load up the bases.  With the bases loaded, Tanner Glass singled to right field to bring Schau and Sutay in and put the Warriors ahead 2-0.

The Warriors extended their lead in the bottom of the sixth inning.  Sean Sutay led off with a single and then advanced to second as Timo Schau walked.  With two on and one out, Julio Justo doubled to left field to bring Sutay in.  Tanner Glass followed with a ground out to short stop that allowed Schau to come across home plate.  With two out and Justo on third base, Conner Ewing singled to left field to bring Justo home and put Southern Wesleyan on top 5-0.

Erskine challenged in the top of the seventh and eighth innings to put three runs on the board.  However, the Warriors continued to press on as Quinton Bent singled to right field in the bottom of the eighth inning.  With Bent on first, Julio Justo tripled to bring Bent home.  DJ Ludwick came in to pinch run for Justo.  A passed ball allowed Ludwick to come in and score to give the Warriors a 7-3 victory over the Flying Fleet.
