Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan dropped an exciting game to the Anderson Trojans in a 3-2 final score on Tuesday.
The Warriors recorded 10 hits in the loss with three Warriors leading the team with two hits. Both Julio Justo and Quinton Bent had doubles during the game. Sean Sutay and Bent had the lone RBIs for the Warriors. Ty King Richards posted two of the four walks of the evening, and Sutay recorded a sacrifice bunt.
Southern Wesleyan had nine strikeouts during the loss. Josh Antwine started the game against Anderson, lasting four innings while striking out one batter. Aaron Bennett, Josh Core, Bryson Fowler and Daniel Singleton came in to pitch in relief. Core led the Warriors with four strikeouts during the game. He was followed by Singleton with two strikeouts.

How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan struck first in the game against Anderson. Julio Justo reached first on a walk. With Justo at first, Quinton Bent double down the left field line to allow Justo to come in and score and give the Warriors a 1-0 advantage.
Anderson fought back with singles that brought in two runs to give them a 2-1 lead. The Trojans extended their lead to 3-1 in the top of the fifth inning.
Southern Wesleyan cut down on the Trojans lead in the bottom of the fifth inning. Back-to-back walks put Ty King Richards on second and Jarred Jones on first. With two on and two out, Sean Sutay singled to left field to bring Richards in.
The Warriors fought back in the bottom of the ninth inning, but could not pass the Trojans as Anderson won the game 3-2.
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Mars Hill, NC to take on the Mars Hill Lions on March 19 at 3 p.m. They will remain on the road on March 22-23 as they travel to Belmont, NC to take on the Belmont Abbey Crusaders.
