How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan attacked first on the road against Mars Hill.  Jarred Jones led off with a single to second base and advanced to second as Timo Schau picked up a walk.  A single up the middle by Devin Patrick loaded the bases and brought Julio Justo up to bat.  Justo drilled the ball to center field for a double that brought Jones and Schau home and put the Warriors on top 2-0.  Quinton Bent followed with a sacrifice ground out to bring Patrick home.  With one out and Justo on third, Tanner Glass singled to center field to score Justo and give the Warriors a 4-0 lead.

The Warriors four run attack would not give them the lead for long as the Lions pounced back with six runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 6-4 run advantage.  They continued to attack at the plate, putting five more runs on the board in the bottom of the third.  The Lions went on to win the game in a 15-4 final.
