Tigerville, SC – Southern Wesleyan dropped the opener to North Greenville on Friday in a 15-1 final score.
The Warriors recorded six hits in the loss to the Crusaders with Jarred Jones and Tyler Fuller leading the team with two hits each. Julio Just doubled during the game and Quinton Bent had the lone RBI of the afternoon. Aaron Bennett started game one of the three game series. Bennett pitched five innings while striking out five batters. Vinny Adams, Kyle Cook-McCrary, Alex Tokar and Aaron Wimpey came in to pitch in relief, combining for four strikeouts.

How It Happened
North Greenville struck first in game one of the three game series. A triple by Jared Williams and sacrifice ground out by Utah Jones allowed the Crusaders to take a 2-0 lead.
The Warriors scored their lone run of the game in the top of the fourth inning. With one out, Tyler Fuller singled through the left side. Julio Justo doubled down the left field line to advance Fuller to third base. With two runners in scoring position, Quinton Bent grounded out to short stop to bring Fuller home and put Southern Wesleyan down one run.
North Greenville continued the attack, putting more runs on the board in the fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth innings to win the game 15-1.
Southern Wesleyan will remain on the road on March 30 as they conclude the three game series against North Greenville at 12 and 3 p.m. They will then return to Dr. C Keith Connor Field as they host the Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles on April 2 and the University of Mount Olive Trojans on April 5-6.
