Tigerville, SC – Southern Wesleyan dropped the final two games of the series against North Greenville in 9-3 and 15-1 final scores.
Southern Wesleyan recorded three hits in game one. Julio Justo led the Warriors with a home run and Tanner Glass recorded a double during the game. Sawyer Price had two of the three RBIs of the afternoon. Tyler Fuller had the lone walk of the afternoon. Jarred Jones started game one and struck out four over 2.1 innings. Jackson Fischer, Josh Core and Josh Antwine came in to pitch in relief for the Warriors.
The Warriors had four hits in the second game of the afternoon. Three Warriors posted doubles during the game. DJ Ludwick had the lone RBI of the afternoon as he brought in Sean Sutay. Four Warriors walked during the game. TJ McEvilly started the final game of the series, pitching 1.2 innings while not recording a strikeout. Josh Core, Cole Standifer and Tyler Parry all pitched in relief. Parry led the team with the only three strikeouts of the afternoon.

How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan struck first as Julio Justo hit a home run to left center to put the Warriors up 1-0. However, North Greenville countered to tie the game in the bottom of the second inning as John Michael Faile homered to right field and then extended their lead to 2-1 by the conclusion of the second.
North Greenville maintained control as they plated two more runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a 4-1 lead over Southern Wesleyan.
The Warriors would not be damped as they fought back in the top of the fifth inning. Tyler Fuller led off with a walk to take first base. Tanner Glass advanced Fuller to third as he doubled to right center field. With both runners in scoring position and two outs, Sawyer Price came in to pinch hit for Sean Sutay. Price drilled a single through the left side that brought both Fuller and Glass in and put the Warriors down 4-3.
However, the Crusaders regained a five run advantage in the bottom of the fifth as Faile hit his second home run of the afternoon to put North Greenville ahead 8-3. They went on to win the game 9-3.
North Greenville struck first in game two of the afternoon, however the Warriors challenged back in the top of the second inning. With two outs, Sean Sutay singled to right field and then came in to score on a double to center field by DJ Ludwick to allow the Warriors to tie the game 1-1.
The Crusaders regained the lead in the bottom of the second inning as they brought five runs home on several hits including a home run by Utah Jones. North Greenville continued to extend their lead to win the game 15-1.
Southern Wesleyan will next return to Dr. C Keith Connor Field as they host the Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles on April 2 and the University of Mount Olive Trojans on April 5-6.
