How It Happened

Barton struck first with back-to-back shots from Isaiah Buck-Lowman before a layup from Justice McCullough put the Warriors on the board. The Bulldogs countered and continued to rally. A jump shot from Jalen Lowery and a layup from DJ Dobson put the Warriors within six halfway through the first half. Despite shots from Dobson and Zalan Richards, the Bulldogs managed to maintain their 29-21 lead with less than eight minutes in the first half to go. Late free throws from Lowery and Javon Hunter weren't enough as the Warriors trailed 50-29 at the half.

The Bulldogs jumped out strong in the second half with layups and a pair of free throws from Bobby Stenborg to lead 59-29. Free throws from DJ Dobson gave the Warriors their first points of the second half to trail 59-31. Southern Wesleyan was able to narrow Barton's lead with layups from Zalan Richards and Dobson and a dunk from Jalen Lowery to cut the lead to 63-40. Halfway through the second half, Isaac Ford hit a 3-pointer and Javon Hunter made a jump shot to trail 71-47. Late shots from Hunter and a 3-pointer from Bryson Williams weren't enough as the Barton Bulldogs went on to win the game 92-68.
