"I thought the guys really played hard tonight, especially in the second half.  We have to cut down on the mental mistakes and take better care of the ball, but the effort tonight was a step in the right direction and is something to build on moving forward."

How It Happened

The Cobras struck first in the contest on Tuesday evening, but the Warriors quickly responded with a layup from Javon Hunter. The Warriors guard, Diego Poore, pushed on with a 3-pointer to lead early 5-2. Coker rallied in response and began to push their lead before Issac Ford began to chip away with a 3-pointer, followed by a layup. Jalen Lowery cut the Cobras lead to seven after a made jump shot. Despite several made free throws and layups, the Warriors trailed 39-25 at the half.

Coker jumped out in the second half with a layup from LaDarius Williams. Zalan Richards and Jalen Lowery answered for the Warriors to trail 43-30. Layups from Issac Ford and Christian McLean narrowed the Cobras lead and back-to-back 3-pointers from Diego Poore put the Warriors down by only four at 46-42. Both teams battled, and the Cobras pushed ahead a little before the Warriors could narrow it down to six at 56-50 on a 3-point shot by Christian McLean. Despite late 3-pointers from McLean and Lowery, the Cobras went on to win the game 73-61.
