Wilson, NC - Southern Wesleyan fell to the Barton Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon in a 86-63 final.
Southern Wesleyan shot 41.8% from the field in the loss. Jalen Lowery led the team with 19 points. He was followed by Jacob Smith with 13 points. The Warriors recorded 27 rebounds. Zalan Richards had nine rebounds to led the team. Seven Warriors posted assists and six Warriors posted steals.

How It Happened
The Bulldogs jumped out first in the contest but Diego Poore countered with a layup to tie it up. Barton went on a 7-0 run before Jacob Smith made a 3-pointer to narrow their lead to 22-12. Jalen Lowery and Bryson Williams contributed for the Warriors to make it 22-39. Despite late free throws from Javon Hunter and Lowery, the Bulldogs led 44-26 at the half.
Barton scored early in the second half with a pair of free throws, but Lowery countered with a layup. Diego Poore and Isaac Ford added to the Warriors score with made baskets. Williams hit back-to-back 3-pointers to put the Warriors trailing only 38-55. The Bulldogs pushed on and stretched their lead while the Warriors battled in the contest. With less than two minutes to go in the game, Southern Wesleyan went on a 6-0 run, but it wasn't enough as the Bulldogs went on to win the game 86-63.
The Warriors will host North Greenville on February 12 and will take on the Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. Southern Wesleyan will then travel to Erskine to play the Flying Fleet at 4 p.m. on February 16.
