Due West, SC - Southern Wesleyan fell to the Erskine Flying Fleet in a 108-63 final on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors shot 40.4% from the field in the loss on Saturday afternoon. Jalen Lowery led the Warriors with 26 points. He was followed by Jacob Smith with 12 points. The team recorded 26 rebounds. Four Warriors posted five rebounds each. Bryson Williams led the team in assists with four of the twelve. Four Warriors recorded steals.

How It Happened
The Flying Fleet struck first in the contest with a layup from Austin Venable. Jalen Lowery drew a foul and added one to the board for the Warriors. The Fleet gained the momentum early, but the Warriors countered with a jump shot and free throw from Lowery and a 3-pointer from Diego Poore to trail only 7-9. The Fleet pushed on and continued to extend their lead, but Isaac Ford narrowed it down to four after a made jump shot to trail 22-26. Despite a late 3-pointer from Bryson Williams, Erskine led 41-32 at the half.
Lowery jumped out early for Southern Wesleyan with a 3-pointer to start the second half. Ford followed with a layup to cut the Fleet's lead to 37-43. Jacob Smith came out firing with several back-to-back shots and put the Warriors behind only 54-66. Erskine challenged the Warriors on defense and maintained the lead throughout the second half. Despite Ford's jump shot late in the half, the Flying Fleet went on a 16-0 run to end the game. Erskine won 108-63.
Southern Wesleyan will host the Emmanuel College Lions on February 20 at 7:30 p.m. They will then host the King Tornado on February 26 at 7:30 p.m.
