Anderson, SC – Southern Wesleyan finished in second place as a team both rounds of the Anderson Invitational. All five Warriors placed in the top twenty during the tournament.

"I am very pleased with a couple individual performances from this week. Eric Shea had an amazing second round 66 in route to his second individual title as a Warrior. Seve Anfindsen also performed very well, finishing 7th in his first event. We will re-qualify this week and hopefully settle on a lineup that will give us more production out of the 3, 4, and 5 spots next tournament."
How It Happened
Eric Shea took first place as an individual in the Anderson Invitational. Shea shot a first round of 73 and a second round of 66 to put him five under par with a 139 total round score. The sophomore from Canada was followed by fellow sophomore Seve Anfindsen. Afindsen finished in seventh place in the tournament. He shot a 78 in round one and then bested his previous score with a 72 in round two to give him a 150 total round score.
Noah Mullens and Ty Campbell finished in a tie for 11th in the Anderson Invitational. Mullens shot a 77 in both rounds of competition while Campbell shot an 81 in the first round and 73 in the second. They finished with a total round score of 154. Thomas Nielsen shot a 75 in the first round and an 80 in the second round to give him a 155 for the complete round score to put him in a tie for 14th place.
The Warriors will next travel to Kiawah Island, South Carolina on September 17 and 18 as they take part in the Kiawah Invitational hosted by USC Aiken.
