Anderson, SC – After the first round of the Anderson Invitational on Monday, both Southern Wesleyan's A and B Teams are in the top five. The Warriors A team is sitting in third place after hitting five over par as a team. The A team is followed by the B team in fifth place.

How It Happened
Freshman Carter Rains and junior Eric Shea led the Warriors in the tournament. Both Rains and Shea shot 72 in the first round of competition to put them in a tie for 6th place. They were followed by Thomas Nielsen in a tie for fourteenth place after shooting two over par with a 74.
Sitting in a tie for 20th, Noah Mullens shot three over par in the first round to give him a first round score of 75. Zach Huebner rounded out the A Team. Huebner shot a 77 in his first round to put him in 27th place.
Jackson Whitfield and Jiras Singnoi kicked things off for the B Team in the Anderson Invitational. Both Whitfield and Singnoi shot two over par for a 74 in the first round to put them in a tie for fourteenth place alongside teammate Thomas Nielsen. Seve Anfindsen follow them in a tie for 20th place after shooting a 75.
Southern Wesleyan will conclude the Anderson tomorrow. They will then take part in the Kiawah Invitational on September 16-17. The Men's Golf team will then take part in the North Georgia Invitational on September 30 and October 1, before concluding their fall season on October 21-22 at the Miami Intercollegiate.
