Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell to the Columbia International Rams on Tuesday evening in a 4-1 final.
The Warriors took 17 shots and six shots on goal in the loss to the Rams. Miguel Gallegos led the team with three shots and two shots on goal. Gallegos went on to score the lone goal for the Warriors. Miguel Uribe started in goal for the Warriors and made eight saves.

How It Happened
Columbia International challenged Southern Wesleyan early with shots on goal by Nathanael Ruth and Jeremiah Ruth, however Miguel Uribe kept the ball away from the net. Grant Kiker and Zack Hargreaves took shots, but the Rams defense blocked the ball to keep the Warriors off the board. The Rams' Marcos DaPaz scored the first goal of the game on a penalty kick to put Columbia International on top 1-0. They lengthened the lead to 2-0 on a second goal by DaPaz off a pass from Jeremiah Ruth.
The Warriors continued to pressure with shots by Grant Kiker and Malik Ibrahim. However, the Warriors shots finally paid off as Miguel Gallegos got around the defense to put Southern Wesleyan on the board. Despite the goal by Gallegos, the Rams continued to pressure and scored two more goals and win the game 4-1.
Southern Wesleyan will conclude their 2018 regular season on October 26 as they take on the University of Mount Olive Trojans at 7 p.m.
