Newberry, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell to the Newberry Wolves in 6-3 final score on Tuesday evening.

How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan took two out of three against the Newberry Wolves on Tuesday.  Siggy Menzel and Urs Widow won their set in an 8-4 final.  Joseph Olatunji and Daniel Bolivar won theirs in an 8-6 final. 

In singles action, Stan Grzeslo and Joseph Olatunji both challenged.  Grzeslo fell in his 3-6, 7-6 and 6-2 final.  Olajuni took his sets 3-6 and 7-6 to force a third set before falling 6-2.  Ben Smith picked up the lone win in singles play.  Smith won his sets 4-6, 6-2 and 6-1.


What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will next travel to North Greenville on March 2 to resume Conference Carolinas action actions the Crusaders.  They will then travel to Mars Hill to take on the Lions on March 6.
