Warriors Fall To Anderson In Season Opener

Anderson, SC - Southern Wesleyan fell in the season opener tennis match of the 2019 campaign in a 7-0 final to the Anderson Trojans.

How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan went 0-2 in doubles action in the loss to the Trojans. Peter Kovats and Nathan Holley fell 6-2 and Joseph Olatunji and Ben Smith were bested in a 6-2 final.

In singles action, the Warriors went 0-5. Sarvesh Maria fell 6-0 and 6-0. Peter Kovats challenged, but fell 6-3 and 7-5. Joseph Olatunji fell 6-3 and 6-1. Nathan Holley fell 6-2 and 6-0 and Ben Smith fell 6-2 and 6-0.

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will host the Brevard Tornados on February 2 at 1 p.m. They will remain home on February 5 as they host the Lander Bearcats at 3 p.m.
