Warriors Tied for Ninth Place After First Day of NCCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

ROME, Ga.- Southern Wesleyan's men's track & field team scored 11 points on day one of the NCCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The Warriors are one point behind Cedarville for eighth place and 37 points behind first-place Oklahoma Baptist.

Javon Barmore won the triple jump with a school record leap of 14.46 meters. Robbie Bryant placed eighth in the javelin with a school record toss of 48.22 meters. The 4x100-meter relay team of Jhante McMillan, Roman Wright, Marquise Jackson, and Rico Holland placed seventh in preliminaries in 42.42 to qualify for finals. Holland finished seventh in the preliminaries of the 400 meters in 48.87 to advance to qualify for finals. McMillan placed seventh in the preliminaries of the 400-meter hurdles in 56.06 to qualify for finals.  Grayson Lorenz is in seventh in the decathlon after the first day with 2,470 points.

The Warriors will wrap up day two of the meet tomorrow May 14 at 11 a.m.
