Warriors Compete In First Outdoor Meet Of The Year

Rome, GA - Southern Wesleyan had several top ten finishes in the Berry Invitational on Saturday. This was the Warriors first outdoor meet of the 2018-19 season. 

How It Happened

Track Results

400 Meters : Thomas Williams led the Warriors in the 400 meters, taking 3rd place with a time of 49.78. He was followed by Jannai Maxwell in 8th place with a time of 51.37. Camden Davis finished in 15th place with a time of 54.05.

800 Meters : In the 800 meters, Shonquez Caldwell led the team with an 8th place finish and a time of 2:00.71. He was followed by Dymitric Ray with a time of 2:09.08 and 26th place finish. 

1500 Meters : Senior Mason Sims led the group in the 1500 meters with a 36th place finish and a time of 4:29.30. Jacob Harris followed in 39th place with a time of 4:33.60.

110 Meter Hurdles : Leonard Holmes finished in 3rd place with a time of 15.95.

Field Results

Shot Put : Keuntrai Robinson led the Warriors in the shot put with a 5th place finish and a distance of 12.98 meters. He was followed by Roger Tinsley in 21st with a distance of 7.04 meters. 

Javelin Throw : Johnny Bogert finished in 4th place with a distance of 47.09 meters.

Hammer Throw : Keuntrai Robinson finished in 2nd place with a distance of 48.03 meters and Christian Swindle finished in 7th place with a 38.40 meters.

What's Next

The Warriors will travel to compete in the Charlotte 49ers Classic on March 15 and 16. They will then travel to Jacksonville, FL to compete in the UNF Invite on March 22.
