Men's Track Excels in the Susan Rouse Invitational

Central, SC - Southern Wesleyan competed well in the Susan Rouse Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

 

How It Happened

Track Results

100 Meter : In the 100 meter, Jannai Maxwell took 7th place with a time of 11.21.

200 Meter : Jannai Maxwell took 5th place in the 200 meter with a time of 22.50. Shonquez Caldwell followed in 7th place with a time of 22.61.

400 Meter : Dymitric Ray took 2nd place with a time of 48.47.

400 Meter Hurdles : In the 400 meter hurdles, Leonard Holmes took 5th place with a time of 59.27.

800 Meter : The Warriors were led by Thomas Williams in 1st place in the 800 meter with a time of 1:58.50. He was followed by Jacob Harris in 4th place with a time of 2:00.99. Camden Davis took 10th place wtih a time of 2:07.20 and Kaleb Jackson took 15th place with a time of 2:14.10.

1500 Meter : Konnor Palacios took 11th place in the 1500 meter, with a time of 4:22.12. Mason Sims took 23rd place with a time of 4:45.32.

5000 Meter : Mason Sims took 19th place with a time of 17:29.43.

4x400 Meter Relay : In the 4x400 meter relay, the A team took 2nd place with a time of 3:16.86. The B team followed in 7th place with a time of 3:39.59.

Field Results

Hammer Throw : Keuntrai Robinson took 3rd place in the hammer throw with a distance of 44.92 meters. Christian Swindle followed in 4th place with a distance of 41.97 meters.

High Jump : Chandler Whittle tied for 5th place after clearing a height of 1.90 meters. Johnny Bogert followed in 7th place with a height of 1.80 meters.

Discus : In the discus throw, Christian Swindle took 5th place with a distance of 39.90 meters.

Triple Jump : Senior Javon Barmore took 1st place in the triple jump with a distance of 13.97 meters.

Shot Put : Keuntrai Robinson set a new school record in the shot put with a distance of 13.97 meters and claimed 3rd place. Christian Swindle followed in 5th place with a distance of 12.34 meters. Roger Tinsley ttook 14th place with a distance of 6.50 meters.

 

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will compete in the Gamecock Invite on April 13. They will then compete in the USC Invite on April 20.
