Southern Wesleyan Succeeds in Gamecock Invitational

Columbia, SC – Southern Wesleyan places in the top in several events Gamecock Invitational.

 

How It Happened

Track

200 Meter Dash : Dymitric Ray led the Warriors in the 200 meters, finishing in 38th with a time of 21.75.  Ray was followed by teammate Jannai Maxwell in 43rd with a time of 22.06.

400 Meters : In the 400 meters, Shonquez Caldwell took 16th with a time of 48.82.  He was closely followed by teammate Thomas Williams with a time of 49.06 to take 20th.

800 Meters : Jacob Harris took 31st in the 800 meters as he crossed the finish line with a time of 2:00.21.  Harris was followed by Mason Sims and Kaleb Jackson.  Sims took 58th with a time of 2:14.02, and Jackson took 59th with a time of 2:17.80.

1500 Meters : Konnor Palacios took 34th in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:22.03.  Palacios was followed by Mason Sims with a time of 4:29.01 to take 42nd.

110 Meter Hurdles : Leonard Holmes took 13th in the preliminaries of the 110 meter hurdles to advance to the finals.  In the finals, Holmes took 29th with a time of 59.89.

Field

High Jump : In the high jump, Chandler Whittle took seventh place with a height of 1.88 meters.

Shot Put : Keauntai Robinson took 13th in the shot put with a throw of 13.09 meters.

Hammer Throw : The Warriors were led by Keauntai Robinson in the hammer throw.  Robinson took 10th with a throw of 44.05 meters.  He was followed by Christian Swindle in 14th with a throw of 41.53 meters.

 

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will next travel to the USC Invite in Columbia, SC on April 20.  They will then return to Central, SC as they host the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championship tournament.
