Greenville, SC – The NCCAA announced the Women's Basketball South Region team earlier this week with two Warriors represented on the list. Iva Krstevska and Emily Waters represented the Warriors on the team.
Iva Krstevska, a senior from Skopje, Macedonia, was one of the leading scorers for the Warriors this past year. Krstevska posted 337 points and 100 assists this past season for the Warriors. The Macedonia native had a season high 23 points in the 98-88 victory over the Lees-McRae Bobcats on December 12. She continued to impress with season high seven assists in the games against the Bobcats on December 12 and the University of Mount Olive Trojans on December 15. She went on to contribute 130 rebounds, 27 steals and one block. Krstevska had a season high 12 rebounds in the 63-59 point victory over Auburn Montgomery.
Emily Waters joined Krstevska on the South Region team. Waters, a junior from Villa Rica, GA, led the Warriors this year with 358 points while averaging 13.8 points per game. The junior had a season high 28 points in the 79-74 victory over the King Tornado. She had 47 total assists with a season high six assists coming against the Converse Valkyries on February 6. She continued to impress with 140 rebounds, 12 steals and 19 blocks. Waters had 12 rebounds in the loss to North Greenville on February 12.
