Warriors Sitting In Fourth After Round One

Snow Hill, N.C. – Warriors sitting in fourth place after the first round of play in the Cutter Creek Invitational on September 4.

"I am very pleased with how the team performed today. To shoot the third best round in program history with three Freshman playing in their first ever collegiate round is impressive. I am excited to see how we follow it up tomorrow!" 

 

How It Happened

Freshman Emily Anderson leads to the Warriors with a score of 79 in the first round of play to fall in a tie for 12th place with University of Mount Olive golfer Paula Guridi.  Anderson is followed by Claire Page.  A senior, Page sits in a tie for fourteenth with a first round score of 80.

In a tie for eighteenth, freshman Jesse Dalton scored an 81 in her first round as a Warrior.  Dalton is followed by Emily Floyd in a tie for 27th place.  Floyd scored an 85 in the first round of competition in the Cutter Creek Invitational.  Maria Aslanis takes 36th place in the invitational hosted by Barton College with a score of 88 in the first round.

 

What's Next

The Warriors will continue in the Cutter Creek Invitational on September 5.  They will then travel to the NCCAA Regionals on September 29 and 30.
