Central, SC - SWU Head Coach, Joey Maxon, and the Women's Golf program announced the signing of four players for the 2019 class today. Coach Maxon and the Women's Golf program welcomes Julie Schoebel, Emileigh Swords, Sarah Page and Rachel Page.
"I couldn't be happier with the class we just signed," commented Maxon. "The cool thing about this group of girls is that they have all played high school and junior tournaments against each other and are all excited to play together on the same team. They each bring different things to the table from a golf standpoint and all have the ability to be great collegiate players. I cannot wait for them to arrive on campus next fall."
"Julie has a wonderful natural golf swing and has continued to improve every year. I have no doubt that she will immediately challenge to be in the starting lineup beginning next fall. She is a terrific young lady and will be a great addition to our program."
"Emileigh is an extremely talented player and great ball striker. Based on her high school and junior golf record, I will look for Emileigh to be an immediate contributor to our team. Most importantly, she is a pleasure to be around and I know she'll be a great teammate."
"Sarah has a great natural golf ability and is excited to play college golf, and when you combine those things then the sky's the limit. She is tremendous in the classroom, a great person, and a great athlete as well. I am very excited to get Sarah on campus because I know how much she will help our team."
"Rachel is a great example of a great multi-sport athlete who has been a late bloomer with golf. Like her sister, Sarah, she is an amazing student, a pleasure to be around and has the potential to be an amazing player. I am really looking forward to her career here at SWU."
