Warriors Finish in Ninth in Conference Carolinas Championship Tournament

Hartwell, GA – Southern Wesleyan finished in ninth place in the 2019 Conference Carolinas Championship Tournament.

How It Happened

Claire Page led the Warriors throughout the 2019 tournament to earn a slot on the 2019 All-Tournament Team.  Shooting five over par, Page had a first round score of 77, including shooting a hole in one on the 16th hole of the course.  She went on to shoot an 80 in the second round, and a 79 in the final round of play to give her a 236 total round score.  Her 236 total round score allowed her to finish in a tie for ninth place. 

Emily Floyd followed Page in the tournament.  Floyd shot an 83 in the first round and an 84 in the second round of the championship tournament.  She closed out the 2019 championship tournament with an 84 to give her a total round score of 251 and put her in a tie for 31st.  She was followed by Jesse Dalton.  Dalton shot an 86, 85, and 89 over the course of the tournament.  Her 260 total round score allowed her to finish in 41st.

Dalton was closely followed by teammates Tatiana Tait and Kaylia McIntyre.  Tait shot a 92 in the first round of the tournament, but came back to shoot an 86 in the second round and an 83 in the final round of the tournament.  She finished with a 261 total round score to put her in 42nd place.  Right on her heels, Kaylia McIntrye finished in 43rd place in her first ever conference tournament.  The freshman shot a 92 and 90 in the first two rounds of play.  She came pushed ahead in the final round of play to shoot an 80 and allow her to finish with a total round score of 262.  Her total round score allowed her to secure 43rd place.
