Mount Olive, NC – Southern Wesleyan was shut out by the University of Mount Olive Trojans in a 24-0 final on Saturday afternoon.
Southern Wesleyan was unable to put up any shots in the loss to Mount Olive on Saturday. The Warriors posted 13 ground balls during the game with Kaeleigh McDaniel leading the team with seven. McDaniel was followed by Abigail Welch with three. Welch went on to have three of the Warriors five draw controls of the game. McDaniel played the whole game in goal for Warriors while posting 15 saves.

How It Happened
The Trojans attacked first just seconds into the game to take a 1-0 lead. They quickly lengthened their lead 4-0 within the first give minutes of play. Mount Olive continued to dominate on the field as they push their lead further to 8-0. Kaeleigh McDaniel saved the ball from meeting the net three times in the row to keep Mount Olive from pushing on. Despite great saves by McDaniel, Mount Olive continue to push ahead to win the game 24-0.
Southern Wesleyan will return home on March 15 as they take on the University of Charleston at 7 p.m. They will remain at home on March 17 as they continue Conference Carolinas action against the Emmanuel Lions at 7 p.m.
