Warriors Shut Down By Bulldogs

Central, S.C. – Southern Wesleyan falls to Barton Bulldogs in a 3-0 final.

The Warriors posted six shots, with four shots on goal in the loss.  Ashley Romanowski led the team with two shots on goal.  She was followed by Ally Kisiel and Amber German with one shot on goal each.  Courtney McNeill played the whole game in goal for the Warriors with seven saves while allowing three goals.

How It Happened

Barton started strong, taking several shots on goal.  Southern Wesleyan's Ashley Romanowski took a shot on the goal, but could not connect the ball with the net.  The Bulldogs scored first on a goal by Laisy Scardazzi.  At the half, Barton was leading 1-0.

The Bulldogs struck again in the second half, with Laisy Scardazzi scoring her second goal of the game.  Another goal by Barton put the Warriors down 3-0 and allowed the Bulldogs to win the game.


What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will remain at home on September 27 where they will take on the Emmanuel College Lions at 5 p.m.  They will then travel on September 30 to Banner Elk, North Carolina where they will take on the Lees-McRae Bobcats at 1:30 p.m.
