How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan put the pressure on the Erskine defense early with shots on goal by both Rachel Curtis and Ashley Romanowski.  The Flying Fleet countered the Warriors attack with the first goal of the game on a shot by Devyn Cabral.  Erskine pushed to a 2-0 lead on a goal by Vivian Gonzalez.

The Warriors and Flying Fleet continued to pressure each other in the second half.  However, a foul in the box on the Flying Fleet allowed Helen Schweiger to take a penalty kick for the Warriors.  Schweiger got the ball around Sara Dooley to cut Erskine's lead to 2-1.  However, minutes later Erskine lengthened to a 3-1 advantage over Southern Wesleyan and win the game.
