High Point, NC – Conference Carolinas announced the 2018 Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams on November 2 with three Warriors representing Southern Wesleyan on the teams. Junior Ashley Romanowski was named to the All-Conference First Team, and junior Rachel Curtis and senior Helen Schweiger were named as members of the All-Conference Third Team.
A junior from St. Clair Shores, Michigan, Ashley Romanowski was the lone Warrior named to the All-Conference First Team after her second season with Southern Wesleyan. Romanowski started in every game for the Warriors during her junior season. The Michigan native led the team with 13 goals and nine assists during the 2018 campaign. She scored two goals in four games this season and had three game winning goals. In the loss to the Emmanuel Lions on October 3, Romanowski had her most points of the season as she had two goals and two assists for six points.
Rachel Curtis, a junior from Rochester, NY, was named to the All-Conference Third Team after scoring a career high 10 goals this past season. Curtis recorded game winning goals at Bob Jones and King this year, and scored two goals in the 5-1 defeat of the Converse Valkyries on October 12. The New York native also recorded four assists this season. She started in 15 of the 16 games she played and recorded a total of 24 points during her third season with Southern Wesleyan.
Wrapping up the field for Southern Wesleyan, Helen Schweiger was named to the All-Conference Third Team. A junior from Freiburg, Germany, Schweiger has played two seasons for the Warriors. The Germany native recorded five goals and one assist this season. In the 5-1 victory over the King Tornado, Schweiger recorded two goals. In her career best season in the blue and white, the junior recorded two penalty kick goals and 11 points.
