How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan took two out of three in doubles action on Saturday afternoon. Playing in the one hole, Alexia Rodriguez and Jennifer Ball won their match 8-2. Kristi Cooper and Chyna Jones followed with an 8-6 victory in their match versus Schlesener and Parrott.
The Warriors went on to win five of the six singles matches of the afternoon. Alexia Rodriguez and Jennifer Ball each took their singles matches to three sets. However, both won. Rodriguez won 6-2, 4-6 and 10-5, while Ball won hers in 6-0, 7-6, and 10-5 finals. Kristi Cooper won her singles match in 6-1 and 6-3 set victories. Schlesener challenged Chyna Jones in each of her sets, however Jones won 7-5 and 7-5. Jessica Sparks won her sets in a 6-0 and 6-1 final.
Southern Wesleyan will return home on March 23 as they take on the Lees-McRae Bobcats. They will remain at home on March 24 as they take on the King Tornado.
