How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan swept doubles action on Friday afternoon. The team of Alexia Rodriguez and Jennifer Ball took down Sandy Allen and Mikenzie Longmade in a tough battle that ended in an 8-5 final. Both the team of Kristi Cooper and Chyna Jones, and the team of Caitlynn Nixon and Jessica Sparks won their match in 8-2 final.
In singles play, the Warriors took four of the six matches played. Jennifer Ball, Caitlynn Nixon and Jessica Sparks were all challenged in their matches and were forced into three sets. Ball took hers in a 6-2, 3-6 and 10-8 final. Sparks also won hers in a 4-6, 6-0 and 10-8 final. Nixon challenged, but fell in her final set 7-5. Kristi Cooper and Chyna Jones each won their sets 6-2 and 6-3 to win the match.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will remain at home on March 24 as they take on the King Tornado. They will then travel to Emmanuel to take on the Lions on April 3.
