Warriors Break Three School Records at Seminole Invitational

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Southern Wesleyan's women's track & field team competed at the Seminole Invitational hosted by Florida State University.

Olivia Bush placed seventh in the javelin with a toss of 33.33 meters. The 4x100-meter relay team of Jess Maggio, Amy Barton, Skylar Julian, and Morgan Haney finished eighth in 48.34. The 4x400-meter relay team of Barton, Haney, Logan Thiel, and Brandi Jackson placed tenth in 3:58.46.

Barton broke two school records as she finished 14th in the 100 meters in 12.01 and 18th in the 200 meters in 24.49. Alana Grant broke the school record in the 800 meters as she placed 17th in 2:18.89.

Shy'Keya Wimberly finished 11th in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:04.17. Erica Stephens placed 17th in the 1500 meters in 4:52.08. Amber King finished 17th in the long jump with a leap of 5.05 meters. Julian placed 19th in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.59. Jackson finished 23rd in the 400 meters in 57.43.

The Warriors will next compete at the Phoenix Invitational hosted by Elon University April 23.
