Warriors Finish 7th at NCCAA Outdoor Track & Field  National Championships

ROME, Ga.- Southern Wesleyan's women's track and field team scored 56 points at the NCCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The Warriors were two points behind Roberts Wesleyan for sixth place. Oklahoma Baptist won the meet with 152 points.

Skylar Julian won the 100-meter hurdles in a school record 14.05. The 4x100-meter relay team of Amy Barton, Julian, Jess Maggio, and Morgan Haney won in 47.00. Barton broke the school record in the 100 meters as she finished third in 11.98. Casey Shearin finished 12th with a school record toss of 36.50 meters.

Barton also placed second in the 200 meters in 24.11. The 4x400-meter relay team of Brandi Jackson, Julian, Maggio, and Haney finished fourth in 3:53.59. Maggio also placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.95. Erica Stephens finished eighth in the 1500 meters in 4:48.64.

Kiunah Fye placed 11th in the high jump as she cleared the bar at 1.52 meters. Amber King placed 13th in the long jump with a leap of 5.07 meters. Michelle Last finished 17th in the 800 meters in 2:22.64.
