Southern Wesleyan Takes Fourth In Conference Championship

Mount Olive, NC – Southern Wesleyan concluded the 2018 season at the Conference Carolinas Championship meet on November 3.  The Warriors finished the championship in fourth place, behind Mount Olive, North Greenville and King.

How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan took fourth in the Conference Carolinas Championship.  Freshman Madison Lewellen led the Warriors as she crossed the finish line with a time of 24:20.9.  Lewellen's time put her in 11th place and earned her a place on the All-Conference Third Team.  Just one second behind Lewellen, Kyra Hood took 12th place with a time of 24:21.5.  In 15th place, Maggie Rice finished with a time of 24:26.4.  Hood and Rice's finishes earned both of them places on the All-Conference Third team.

Coming in with a time of 25:22.5, senior Hayley Singletary took 32nd place.  She was followed by Caroline Therrell in 38th place with a time of 25:47.7.  Therrell was followed by Sarah Reeves.  Reeves took 45th place with a time of 26:26.6. 

Anne-Marie Martin too 51st place as she crossed the finish line with a time of 26:56.2.  Teammate Taylor Broadwell was right on her heels, taking 53rd with a time of 27:13.0.  Alison Dickson finished the race with a time of 28:06.2 to put her in 62nd place.  Dickson was followed by Kaitlyn Phillippo in 71st place with a time of 29:28.2.
